H5M (Hatch Mott MacDonald + MMM Group) with Kiewit-Flatiron

October 2008 to Present

The Cape Horn interchange section, of the PMH1 project, consists of 15 new overpasses and underpasses, making it the most complex interchange in the province of British Columbia.  Our scope of work, included site investigation, geotechnical analyses for the design of piled foundations, ground improvement, slope stability, retaining wall design and geotechnical earthquake analyses and construction supervision.  Geotechnical design was also performed for EPS embankments and retaining walls.  The MTS division of M+EG Consulting performed laboratory testing of soils, vibration monitoring of ground and PDA testing of piles.

PMH1 project value is $2.6 billion; Cape Horn segment is about $700 million.
