Roads and Highways
M+EG has worked on a variety of highway projects in BC, Canada, and has extensive geotechnical experience on projects that vary in both size and complexity. We have been involved in several large projects in the Lower Mainland as part of design-build joint ventures including the geotechnical design for the Port Mann/Highway 1 Upgrade Project, Pitt River Bridge Project (foundation seismic design) and 204th Street Overpass. M+EG has also provided geotechnical design services for the seismic rehabilitation of the Pattullo Bridge, the new 64th/36th Street Bridges that form part of the South Fraser Perimeter Road (SFPR), and the new Johnson Street bascule bridge in Victoria. We have been involved as Owner’s Engineer for the Coast Meridian Overpass and the Evergreen Rapid Transit Project, and have provided geotechnical support to the Concessionaire (FTGP) for the South Fraser Perimeter Road. M+EG technical staff has extensive experience in application of geotechnical recommendations provided in CAN/CSA-S6-06/14 and ASHTO LRFD 2012/2014(Interim), and the technical framework on performance-based design to adopt any specific guidelines provided by the Client.
