M+EG provides geotechnical expertise for some of the most prestigious bridge projects in British Columbia since 2004.  M+EG has provided a wide range of services in relation to the geotechnical design of bridges from feasibility studies through to construction monitoring, including but not limited to:
  • technical specifications for geotechnical investigations;
  • preliminary site assessment and desk studies;
  • client representative duties;
  • seismic hazard review;
  • site response analyses;
  • geotechnical/geophysical site investigations and specialized in-situ testing;
  • geotechnical  static, cyclic and  dynamic site characterization (including laboratory testing);
  • foundation analysis and design;
  • static/dynamic soil-structure interaction analyses;
  • PDA testing and CAPWAP analyses;
  • construction monitoring;
  • geotechnical design review.

Recent projects in British Columbia include:

  • Preliminary geotechnical design for the Pattullo Bridge Seismic Retrofit and Rehabilitation Project, New Westminster & Surrey, BC;
  • Geotechnical analyses for Cape Horn Interchange as part of the Kiewit Flatiron/H5M design-build project for the Port Mann/Highway 1 Upgrade;
  • Geotechnical input and recommendations for the new Johnson Street Bridge in Victoria, BC;
  • Geotechnical earthquake engineering for design of the ground improvement measures for the new Pitt River Bridge and Mary Hill Interchange;
  • Analysis and design for overpass structures at 36th Street and 64th Avenue in Delta as part of the South Fraser Perimeter Road;
  • Geotechnical design services for the construction of a new rail overpass structure in Smithers, BC;
  • Seismic analyses and foundation design for 204th Street Overpass, Langley;
