John Sully, Ph.D, P.Eng

John has over 25 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.  Since relocating to Vancouver in 1996, John has been involved in many of the recent design-build projects that have been completed in the Lower Mainland, as well as numerous overseas projects related to marine terminals and offshore oil and gas.  He has been involved in the design, construction and remedial treatment of tailings dams and water storage facilities, design and construction of offshore and onshore petroleum installations, shallow and deep foundation problems, including ground improvement specification and control and dynamic analyses for geotechnical earthquake problems. He has gained valuable experience on projects throughout Canada as well as international projects in countries such as: Norway, Middle East, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Venezuela, Mexico and USA.

John has served on several design review panels and provided input to the development of a number of design code documents.

John was the founding member of MEG Consulting and has managed the company since being setup as an independent consulting group in 2004.

Dr. Sully has published over 25 technical papers related to various fields of geotechnical engineering.

John is fluent in English and Spanish.
