Gordon Fung, P.Eng.
Intermediate III Geotechnical Engineer
Gordon Fung has over 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering. He has gained valuable experience in different engineering projects, which include field investigation coordination/supervision, interpretation from in-situ and laboratory results and engineering work on static and dynamic analyses for both shallow and deep foundations. He is experienced in ground improvement, analysis and design of bridge foundations, highway/road design, and offshore and terminal facilities. In addition, he has performed and supervised static and dynamic laboratory testing programs in the M+EG soils laboratory.
Mr. Fung has participated in the dynamic analysis and seismic performance assessment of MSE walls. Besides the design of MSE walls based on standard engineering codes and procedures, he has extensive experience in the use of non-linear time history finite difference analyses with FLAC 2D to simulate the performance of the soil-structures under seismic loading conditions.
Mr. Fung has published several papers related to interesting aspects of geotechnical response as determined during various consulting assignments.
Gordon has strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Programs, gINT, AutoCAD, FLAC2D, APILE, LPILE, GROUP, PYWALL, GRLWeap, ProSheet, Settle3D, GeoStudio, CLARA-W, SHAKE, DESRA and Grapher.
Gordon is fluent in English and Cantonese.
