Main equipment available:
• Seismic
sources and geophones for seismic reflection,
refraction and in-hole arrays
• DGPS
(Differential Global Positioning System)
• Bathymetric
Marinetek PSC-200 sounder
• Side
Scan Sonar
• Echo
sounder
• Sub
bottom profiler

Geotechnical Investigation:
GISCA can offer onshore and offshore
geotechnical drilling and sampling services up to
depth of 250 m or more, operating in environments with water
depths up to 1000 m. In situ testing capabilities
include PCPT, field vane tests and downhole shear wave velocity measurements.
On-board soil testing laboratories can also be supplied.

Soil/Rock Testing:
GISCA can offer comprehensive soil/rock
testing services to cover the offshore and onshore needs.
Our laboratory is equipped with state of practice technology that
facilitates the performance of high quality testing as required by our
clients. Through our technical
alliance with MTS, GISCA can also provide resonant column, cyclic direct
simple shear and dynamic triaxial testing.
GISCA can provide static soil and rock characterization using our fully
automated equipment such as: high pressure triaxial chamber, high pressure
odometers and a direct simple shear apparatus.
